About us

We have been making puppets full time since 1994 and have hands on experience with different aspects of puppetry as tools.  We first started making basic hand glove puppets as well as simple marionette or string puppets .  This soon became increasingly popular and our small business was founded!

We then moved on to the task of designing effective, practical puppets that could be used as icebreakers in evangelism .  The success of these first Big mouth puppets or Goolies as we called them , opened the road to many avenues of opportunity.

We have developed a huge range of diverse character puppets as well as animals.  We welcome exclusive orders and designs for specific logos, events or puppeteers.  Although we do carry a rotating stock of the more regular 'people' puppets .

In addition to puppets, we design and supply large walkabout costumes . They are practically structured from foam , fabric and fur so ensure comfort , mobility and durability.

We have explored the effects of puppets as communication tools to some extent over the years and have now begun to formulate manuals and workshops to effectively help equip others to meet their own and community needs wherever they may be.

We are also available to facilitate workshops for people from all walks of life that may require basic puppetry skills in order to use puppets as tools.  We have vision to see our youth building other youth puppetry teams with the purpose of allowing everyone at some level or other to become involved in the project of community well being.  We are prepared to travel to various venues in order to teach , encourage and equip any interested parties .

Besides manufacturing puppets , costumes and stages and facilitating team building and practical puppetry workshops and providing manuals , we also offer a puppet show service.  We perform puppet shows at diverse venues , including preventative education programs for many relevant social issues at primary and pre-primary schools .  We participate at special event functions , camps , churches and festivals .  Shopping centers and promotional stores also offer venues .

 We operate our business from our farm near Mossel Bay through a nationwide mail order service.
